The young ladies in the Lads to Leaders group held a Ladies Brunch on Saturday, January 6, 2019. Since the scripture prohibits women from leading men in a worship service, it was a "ladies only" event.
This allowed the young ladies an opportunity to either help in completing requirements for year round songs of praise, Bible reading & and other Lads to Leaders events. They also completed requirements for year-round Bible reading!
The theme was "Far Above Rubies" and the focus was on virtuous women of the Bible.

The Lads To Leaders Fall Retreat was held on November 11, 2018. The children had a great time as the Lads to Leaders group spent a frigid day at the Rusk Depot Campground enjoying a retreat together. It was such a fun and uplifting time for all as the kids worked on some of their Lads to Leaders events and enjoyed great fellowship together. At the end of the day, they even had a campfire where they roasted marshmallows! It was a great day with great folks!
We appreciate the Clint & Jonna Satterwhite, Doug & Alison Rader, Adam & Lisa Krumnow, Katie Holmes, Hailey Brooks, Gregg & Sylvia Gurganus, and Kenyetta Jenkins for spending their Saturday enhancing the lives of these children. They are teaching these kids about Jesus, the most important lesson they can learn in this life!

The Church building has seen some changes lately as the Lads To Leaders have given several of the bulletin boards facelifts. They have put many hours into designing and creating the bulletin boards, and they look great!
We appreciate the Lads To Leaders sponsors for all the hard work that they have done in helping the children with all of their projects. They are doing something that will have an effect on these children's lives forever!

The Lads To Leaders held a Spaghetti Dinner for the Church after the evening services on September 2, 2018. The group prepared a delicious meal of salad, spaghetti and chocolate eclair for dessert. The kids helped decorate, prepare the meal, work as waiters/waitresses, and clean tables. The meal was free, but the Lads To Leaders group made $1615 off of tips!!!!
We appreciate all of the adults who are teaching these children how to grow up to be good citizens and good Christians. They are definitely helping build the Church of the future.

On August 22nd, the Lads To Leaders hosted a hot dog supper to kick-off the new year for Lads To Leaders. There were tables set up to allow the lads and the leaders to sign-up for various events that they can participate in this year. There was a good turnout of kids, sponsors, and supporters, and everyone enjoyed the fellowship that we had together. We really appreciate everyone who attended.
If you would like to be a part of this year's lads to leaders, please see the Raders or the Satterwhites. They can answer any questions that you may have.

After the morning worship service on August 12th, the Lads to Leaders group went to the area nursing homes to visit and sing. The residents were thrilled to see them again and have bragged and bragged about these children. They said that it just makes their day when the children come to see them. We really appreciate the parents who take the time out of their busy schedules to teach these kids how to serve others and visit the needy. These children are being brought up to serve the Lord! How wonderful!

After the morning worship service on July 15th, the Lads to Leaders group went to the area nursing homes to visit and sing. After visiting, they went to the Rader's home for refreshments and swimming. We appreciate each and every member of the lads to leaders group. They are a busy bunch! How great it is that these children are being brought up to serve the Lord! We appreciate the mentors that are taking the time to teach them the true meaning of being a Christian.

On June 24th, the Lads to Leaders group went to some of the area assisted living homes to visit some of the Crockett Road church members who are not physically able to attend worship services. There were 15 of the children who went to visit. The kids all signed cards and delivered them to each person that they visited. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was a great day for all who were able to attend. After visiting those who are shut-in, the kids went swimming at Doug and Allison Rader's home. You can tell from the pictures that everyone had a great time.

The Satterwhite's hosted a Sundae Lads to Leaders party at their house on May 20th to kick off the summer Lads to Leaders program. There was a huge blow-up water slide that the children loved!
We appreciate the Satterwhite's for hosting the party and for all the other things that they do for the church. They are wonderful servants of God.

Following the evening services on May 13, 2018, several of the children who have been attending Children's Bible Hour provided the adults with a presentation where they each dressed up as their favorite Bible character. Each child spoke and told interesting facts about the Bible character that he/she represented. Some of the Bible characters that were their favorites were Noah, Sampson, Ruth, Deborah, Moses, Rahab, Esau, Jacob, and there was even a High Priest represented!
The church appreciates the Bible Hour crew so much, and it is easy to see that the children are learning things that will last them their entire lifetime.

There were many from the Crockett Road Church of Christ who attended the 2018 Lads 2 Leaders Conference in Dallas the last weekend in March. We had many children who participated in the Lads 2 Leaders this year, and several more participated at the conference. The pictures to the left are some of the pictures that were taken at the 2018 conference. We are very proud of our youth and also the adults who have supported this program. These adults are ensuring that the youth of today will have a solid Christian background to help lead them once they become adults.

Bible Hour recognized some of the workers and kids after the Sunday Morning Worship Service on 3-25-18. There were five of the kids who got up and recited the books of the Bible. Not many adults can do that!
There are anywhere from 25 to 40 people in Bible Hour each Sunday evening where the kids learn about Bible events. If you have a child that would enjoy Bible Hour, please feel free to bring them.

Lads 2 Leaders is the oldest and largest leadership training program used by the churches of Christ. It is a tool churches of Christ can use to help prepare their youth and adults for service in the Kingdom of God and help develop their overall leadership potential. Lads 2 Leaders is more than just attending a youth rally or participating in a Bible Bowl. It offers a variety of Bible-based class materials and events for preschoolers through adults.
Teaching students to do “Bible things in Bible ways” is the essence of Lads 2 Leaders.
The goal of L2L is to provide churches of Christ with effective, year-round leadership training tools that can be adapted to individual congregational needs and to help local congregations instill the Word of God into youth and adults so that they will stand firm in the faith. Teaching students to do “Bible things in Bible ways” is the essence of L2L.
Many of the young people of Crockett Road Church of Christ are involved in the "Lads To Leaders" program where they are busy with various activities. Some of these are: Art Says It - Drawing/Sketching, Art Says It - Greeting Cards, Art Says It - Photography, Art Says It - Posters, Art Says It - Collage, Good Samaritan Program, Speech, Oral Bible Reading, Knowing the Books of the Old Testament and New Testament, Bible Bowl Tests and Songs of Praise.
