The annual Crockett Road Church of Christ Retiree's Valentine's Banquet was held on February 12, 2019 in the activity building. Doug Sumrall cooked and supplied the brisket, and everyone brought a covered dish to go with it for the meal. Following the delicious meal, the group played "Wheel of Fortune" and had a lot of fun together. There were 21 people who attended this year's retiree Valentine's Banquet, and everyone had a great time.
We would like to thank Renee Whitley, Pam Gallaway, and Dan Manuel for providing pictures of the event.

The first Monday Night for the Master was held on January 28, 2019. We had 44 Christians who met together to eat and then perform various jobs around the church. The night started off with a meal which consisted of fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, gravy, beans, pizza, salad and yeast rolls. Ladies of the church brought homemade desserts which were delicious! It is wonderful to have such a large group of Christians who are willing to come together and work for the Lord.

The Annual Give Me the Bible Banquet and Conference was held on January 26, 2019 in the Crockett Road Church of Christ activity building. There are 33 Churches of Christ that are supporting congregations for the weekly program, and many of those congregations had members who represented them at the event. Sandy Singleterry made beautiful decorations for the tables. She and other ladies from the church made sure there was food available for breakfast and lunch for everyone. Dennis Morris (from the Jefferson Church of Christ in Jefferson, Texas) had a wonderful lesson on "Let Your Light Be Seen At Home." After enjoying a meal together, Dan Manuel spoke on "Let Your Light Be Seen In The Community And Abroad".
Russell Haffner, director of "World Video Bible School" gave a report of his work and had a display with free items for everyone. Justin Hopkins, Academic Director of the Manna Project, had a booth set up with publications by Hopkins Book Store and information about his mission work. Steve Handley provded an annual progress report for 2018 and gave an update on his work with those incarcerated in prison and how they were reaching out to spread the gospel to those men. Kris Groda gave an update on the "Give Me The Bible TV" facebook page and asked for churches to get their members to "like" the page to increase its availabity to others so it will be viewed by more people. Joe Hancock listed some of the material discussed on previous programs and asked for suggestions for 2019 topics.
Before the conference closed, Ray Franks addressed the group on how there was a $325 monthly shortfall to the Give Me The Bible budget. He asked if there were any in the group who would be willing to make up the shortfall for one month. We would like to say "Thank You" to the following Christians who were willing to make a donation for one month's shortfall.
