Lisa Lambert was the decorator for this years event, and it was beautiful! We appreciate her and all of the ladies who assisted her in making everything so pretty. It was a great event.
The meal was catered by Brenda Bing's catering service. The meal was pork loin, King Ranch Chicken, green beans, rice with cranberry sauce, a delicious salad, rolls and assorted desserts. It was so good!
After the meal, Santa made a visit and allowed the children to tell him what they would like to receive for Christmas. Everyone also played a trivia game and a Biblical trivia game after the meal. After that, there were some who got up and told the audience about their favorite Christmas memory. Dan led everyone in a few Christmas songs before everyone dismissed for the night.
We appreciate all of the hard work the Lisa and the other ladies put into making the night such a night to remember.

The Youth Group had a great time together this weekend (November 11th and 12th) at Cedar Creek Lake! There were 19 signed up to attend, but the bad weather caused many to stay home. Those who attended had a great time playing games, telling spooky stories by the fire, and worshipping together. The low lake levels allowed them a chance to ”treasure hunt” for things that are usually covered by the water. Everyone had a great time. We appreciate all of those who attended.

Every Tuesday at 10:00, at Crockett Road Church of Christ, the ladies meet for Bible study usually led by Dan Manuel, but yesterday we were blessed to have Cheryl Ellis as our leader. It is always a joy having her lead us in our lesson. You never know what she will have us do. At the end of the lesson, we were asked to write an encouraging word or positive comment about each lady in attendance. We then took them home to read, if or when, at anytime we might be having a difficult day.
After the lesson, 13 of the ladies came together at Applebee's for lunch.
Inspirational Bible study, good friends, laughter, invigorating conversation, and delicious.food are great ingredients for a good memory. Oh, and pictures are always good!
Hope more of you ladies can join us next Tuesday for class and lunch.
FYI: Mark your calendars for November 1st. We will be car pooling to Cheryl Ellis's for lunch after Bible Class. More information will be available next week, the 24th, at Bible Class and it will be posted on Facebook.

The first quarterly luncheon of 2022 was held on March 27th in the Activity Building. Although this was a planned quarterly luncheon, the church was able to secretly throw Dan and Audrey a SURPRISE CELEBRATION for FIFTY YEARS of service to the Crockett Road Church of Christ.
The members of the church family of Crockett Road Church of Christ have been donating for a gift for Dan and Audrey for the past several weeks, and there was over $2,215.01 collected so far with money still coming in! Doug and Alison Rader were responsible for finding something special for Dan & Audrey, and they were able to purchase anniversary crystals for Dan and Audrey to thank them for all of their years of faithful service to the congregation. Audrey also received a beautiful bracelet, and Dan received a new tie tack. In addition to these personal gifts, the money collected will be used to fund the "Dan and Audrey Manuel Ministry Scholarship" (for $1,000) which will sponsor preaching students and their wives as they go to school to prepare for a lifetime of service to our Lord. It is our desire to have this scholarship continue to be given in their honor on an annual basis.
We appreciate each and every one of you who helped to make this day such a success. The Crockett Road Church of Christ is such a loving and caring congregation of believers. We love our eternal family!

The first Monday Night for the Master for 2022 was held on January 31st in the Activity Building. We had almost 50 who turned out on a rainy night to eat together and do various odd jobs around the building. We had a meal that consisted of Mazzio's Pizza, a delicious salad (that Sandy made), and a table full of delicious desserts. Following the meal, everyone broke into small groups to do a lot of different things. Some signed cards, some changed light bulbs, others restocked visitors cards in the auditorium, some washed communion vessels, others picked up trash, and the list could go on and on. We are definitely blessed at the Crockett Road Church of Christ to have so many who are willing to do what is needed to help get things done. The 2022 Give Me The Bible Annual Conference was held at the Crockett Road Church of Christ activity building on January 22, 2022. We had 88 in attendance for the conference, and it was great! The day started with a "meet and greet" where everyone was able to enjoy various pastry dishes.
We all joined together in singing several gospel hymns before watching a live performance of a "Give Me the Bible" program. After the program, we were brought up to date on the finances, television ratings, and other pertinent information about the program. We then were able to enjoy a delicious meal together which consisted of barbeque brisket, smoked link sausage, potato salad, baked beans, rolls, and homemade cakes with strawberries and whipped cream for the topping. The meal was great! We had an anonymous donor who provided the meal. He doesn't want his name known, but we really appreciate him.
After the meal, we had more gospel singing before being able to watch another live "Give Me the Bible" program. Both of the programs were very interesting, and it showed everyone what the men do when they record the programs. We appreciate each and every one of the ministers who take the time to go to Dallas each month to record the programs. They are definitely doing their part to ensure that the gospel is available to millions of people.
If you would like to watch some of the past programs, you can view them on the Crockett Road website on the "Give Me the Bible TV" page.
